Week 2 — Build

Brand it & make it legit.

Give your platform a polished, professional finish that earns trust on sight.

Here's the plan
Brand it

Give it a polished, professional look.

Your logo. You don't need a designer. You ask Claude, and it makes you look established instead of generic.

Favicon

The tiny icon in your browser tab.

Where you've seen it: the little icon next to each site's name up in your tabs.

Examples: Google's colored G · YouTube's play button · Amazon's smile.

Why it matters: yours stands out in a sea of tabs. No favicon = a plain gray globe = looks unfinished.

Social preview image (OG image)

The picture that pops up when you paste your link.

Where you've seen it: drop a link in a text or on Instagram and a picture with a headline appears instead of a plain link.

Why it matters: a rich preview gets far more clicks and looks trustworthy. A bare link looks broken or like spam.

Claude makes all three at once.

Paste into Claude
Create a clean, simple logo for my platform, plus a matching favicon and an Open Graph social preview image. Use my brand and what you know about me. Add them to my site, then commit and push so they go live.
👉 Already have your own logo or image? Drop the file into your project folder and tell Claude to use it. You never upload anything to GitHub yourself, Claude commits and pushes it for you.
Make it legit

Here's exactly what we'll do.

Step 1
Create your legal pages
Step 2
Compare to a real platform
Step 3
Make people agree at signup

Why this matters: you're about to take payments and collect people's info. These pages protect you, and payment processors like Stripe expect them. This is the professional standard, and it keeps you covered.

Step 1 — Create them.

Paste into Claude
Create the legal pages my platform needs: a terms and conditions page, a privacy policy, a cookies notice, and a refund policy. Base them on a standard subscription web app, link them in my footer, then commit and push.
⚠️ Not legal advice. This is a strong starting point. If you're in something high-risk or regulated, have a professional review it.

Step 2 — Compare. Find a platform like yours, open their terms, and have Claude check yours against it.

Paste into Claude
Here is a similar platform's terms page: [paste the link or the text]. Compare it to mine and tell me what I'm missing, then update my pages.

Step 3 — Add it to signup. The part people forget: it's not enough to have the pages, people have to agree to them.

Paste into Claude
Add a checkbox to my sign-up form that says "I agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy," with links to those pages. Don't let anyone sign up unless it's checked. Commit and push.

Here's where you should be.

Next week is Launch: connect your domain, set up payments so you can charge, and get your platform in front of people. That's where it becomes a business.
