This week: marketing what you build, without it taking over your life.
Most of us finish something great and then… nothing. No emails, no posts, no one knows it exists. Today we fix that with three moves: warm up your list, claim your spot on LinkedIn, and show up consistently. Then I'll show you how to let AI do most of the posting for you.
LinkedIn isn't where people scroll to be entertained. It's where they go to get better at work, find tools, and make buying decisions. And almost nobody is creating there.
Whether you sell to businesses or to individuals, the people on LinkedIn are professionals who come there to get better at what they do, and they have the budget to invest in it. If what you built helps people work, learn, or grow, this is your room.
Your first customers are already in your phone and inbox. Export them once, bring them into Systeme.io, and you have a list you own, no algorithm in the way.
Go to contacts.google.com → select all → Export → choose Google CSV.
Open People → Manage contacts → Export contacts → save as CSV.
icloud.com/contacts → select all → Export vCard. Then import that file into Google Contacts and export it as CSV.
Russell Brunson borrowed this from the soap operas we grew up on: every episode ends on a cliffhanger, so you have to tune in tomorrow. Your emails work the same way. Each one tells part of your story and ends with a hook that makes them watch for the next one.
Who you are, why you're writing, and a promise: "Over the next few days I'm going to tell you how I ended up building ___." End on an open loop.
Where you were stuck (the wall), how it felt, and the moment everything clicked (your epiphany). End by teasing what you built.
What you built, who it's for, the benefits they didn't expect, and a clear invitation to check out your platform.
Paste this into Claude or ChatGPT. It asks you the questions Brunson uses to find your story, one at a time, then writes all three emails in your voice, promoting your platform.
You are an email copywriter trained in Russell Brunson's Soap Opera Sequence and his Epiphany Bridge story framework. I want to write a 3-email sequence to people who already know me (friends, colleagues, past clients) to introduce the platform I built.
First, interview me. Ask me these questions ONE AT A TIME and wait for my answer before asking the next:
1. What's your name, and how do most of these people know you?
2. What did you build? Describe it in one sentence, and include the link.
3. Who is it for, and what result does it give them?
4. Your backstory: where were you before you built this? What were you trying to do?
5. The wall: what problem or frustration did you keep hitting? How did it make you feel?
6. The epiphany: what was the moment or realization that changed everything?
7. What does your platform do that people won't expect (a hidden benefit)?
8. What do you want readers to do after the third email (visit, sign up, book a call, reply)?
9. Share a sentence or two you've written before, so you can match my voice.
Then write the three emails:
- Email 1, "Set the stage": warm and personal. Say why I'm reaching out and promise a short story over the next few days. End with a cliffhanger that makes them want Email 2.
- Email 2, "The backstory": tell my backstory, the wall I hit, how it felt, and my epiphany. End with a cliffhanger teasing what I built.
- Email 3, "The reveal": introduce my platform as the answer, share the hidden benefit, and give one clear call to action with my link.
Rules: write like a real person emailing a friend, not a marketer. Short paragraphs, under 250 words per email, no hype words, no fake urgency. Give each email 2 subject line options. Include a P.S. that teases the next email (Emails 1 and 2) or restates the offer (Email 3).
Subject: Something I've been working on
Hi [First name],
It's been a while, and I wanted you to hear this from me first.
For the past [time], I've been quietly building something called [Platform name]. It started because of [one-line problem].
Over the next couple of days I want to tell you the story of how it happened, because honestly, I almost didn't do it.
Tomorrow I'll tell you about the moment I hit a wall.
Talk soon,
[Your name]
P.S. Keep an eye out for tomorrow's email. It's the part most people don't know.Subject: The wall I kept hitting
Hi [First name],
Yesterday I promised you the story.
A while back, I was trying to [goal]. But every time I tried, [the wall / frustration]. Honestly, it made me feel [feeling].
Then [the moment it clicked: a person, an idea, a realization]. That's when I realized [your epiphany in one sentence].
So I decided to build something to fix it.
Tomorrow I'll show you what I built, and who I built it for.
[Your name]
P.S. If you've ever felt [the same frustration], tomorrow's email is for you.Subject: Here it is
Hi [First name],
Here's what I built: [Platform name]. It helps [who] [get what result].
What surprised me most is [hidden benefit people don't expect].
If you (or someone you know) [have this problem], I'd love for you to check it out:
👉 [Your link]
And if you reply to this email, I read every one.
Thank you for being part of this,
[Your name]
P.S. [Restate the offer or trial in one line.]Your personal profile is you. A LinkedIn Page is your platform, so people can follow it, and it shows up when they search for tools like yours. Takes about 10 minutes.
You don't need to go viral. You need to be visible every week, so when someone needs what you built, you're the one they remember.
ChatifyIT gives you AI assistants that live on your link-in-bio page and your website. They answer questions about what you do and capture emails 24/7, sending every lead straight into Systeme.io.
It's a page with your own AI assistants on it. Visitors ask questions, your AI answers like you would, and it collects their email so you can follow up. Now it can also announce what you build on LinkedIn.
A connector, whose technical name is MCP (Model Context Protocol), lets Claude talk to another tool. Think of it like adding an app to your phone: once it's installed, Claude can use ChatifyIT for you.
And with Releases, Claude becomes your marketing agent: while you're building, just say "announce this release" and it writes the post, makes the video, and gets it ready to publish.
